About Ring tea
Unopened tea buds are picked in early spring and hand-rolled by young girls to produce this Yunnan distinctive romantic green tea. After infusing many times its unique aroma still remains. Enjoy it yourself in a lovely day or offer it as a special gift to your good friends.

The method of manufacturing China Beauty Ring Tea is quite interesting. The first and second leaf of new shoots are plucked during the end of March and the first two weeks of April, the leaves are allowed to wither, they are slightly steamed, and then hand-rolled lengthwise (where a few of the leaf cells are broken allowing some of the green tea flavor to develop). Following the rolling, the best leaves are selected and curled around a "beauty stick", pressed flat, and then dried in a special oven to lock in the flavor and preserve the unique shape. The bottom of the new leaf is naturally covered with a "new down" signifying freshness and purity - characteristics associated with ultimate beauty. There are only two villages in the Mount Meng region of Sichuan Province, China which make this wonderfully unique tea. These two villages are the only holders of the "beauty sticks", sticks that a favorite consort of a thirteenth century emperor blessed with her beauty
